Wedding Dresses And Their Importance

November 18th, 2008, 10:41 am

A wedding is a solemn occasion. It is also a special event by which two willing hearts and minds unite by an eternal bond of everlasting love. Hence, the apparel of the bride and the groom should be thoughtfully chosen to reflect the significance of the grand occasion. The wedding dress of the bride comes in bright, auspicious colors styled uniquely in conformance with the ceremonial importance as determined by the culture and religion, which sanctifies the marriage.

Features of a wedding dress

Wedding dresses come in various colors, forms and styles corresponding to the many cultures and fashions from which they hail. Wedding dresses are characterized by their exquisite grace and charm. Though the term wedding dress usually refers to the bridal gown worn by Western/European brides, all the various kinds of dresses worn by brides worldwide come within the ambit of wedding dress.

Wedding dresses vary with regions, customs, cultures and religions. The Oriental, the Indian, the Middle East, the African, the Mediterranean, and the American – all have their respective typical wedding dress codes. Whatever may be the type of wedding dress of the bride – a bridal gown, a sari, a kimono, a Salwar Kamiz with wedding veil, it is created to spell elegance and hold the audience and especially the bridegroom spellbound. Wedding dresses are secured from the highly skilled artisans who use the best fabrics and the most intricate embellishments – elaborate patterns and designs to create the choicest dresses of the respective culture. The exquisite wedding dresses thus made serve as a reflection of the culture concerned too.

Considerations in selecting the appropriate wedding dress

In marriages the appearance of the bride and the groom is of prime importance. The wedding dress or the bridal attire requires special mention in this regard since the bride is the cynosure of all eyes at the wedding and therefore her attire commands utmost attention. The wedding dress should be selected with due care with respect to the following considerations:

1. Checking bridal magazines to get a better idea of what fashions are in vogue.

2. Seeking opinions from select friends on the dress selection and trying to view choices made from their perspective.

3. Thinking over the kind of party to be hosted and the prevailing mood- formal or casual.

4. Budgetary constraints set up regarding purchase of dress.

That’s why now you really need to check into and jut out if you can have a credit loan at a secure percent rate of interest.

A lot of the banks wil show you a interest rate that is looking reasonable but doesn’t feel comfortably or so after a period of time. Check out to see if the bank who wants to give you a loan is estimable. A moneylender in Denton Texas or so can have a total totally different actual rate for a 30000 dollar money loan then a merchant bank in Lancaster California and that makes a vast clear gap in your yearly pay backs. It doesn’t matter if you live in Bellevue Washington or in Charlotte North Carolina a safe online investigation will unbosom you often a lot of inconvenience. 17.1 percent interest rate may come out so fairish but will that be immutable after you’re going to return your credit loan. You should be bright today to analyze if you have a nice offer or if you don’t with the bank that offers you a money loan. At this moment you can check over interest rates quickly on the internet and experience if there are other sneaky conditions you should know about.

Russian Wedding Traditions

November 18th, 2008, 7:02 am

The more you understand about any subject, the more interesting it becomes. As you read this article you’ll find that the subject of Russian wedding traditions is certainly no exception.

Russia has a long history of wedding traditions. The traditional Russian wedding ceremony does not have many traditions and many couples opt for a simple civil service that is not widely attended by their friends and relatives. The wedding reception however is a very important part of Russian tradition. Perhaps the most distinguishing aspect of a traditional Russian wedding is that it lasts for at least two days.

Russian law does not recognize church weddings so couples wishing to marry must have a civil wedding ceremony. At the conclusion of this ceremony the couple is given bread and salt which represents health and prosperity. This civil ceremony is considered unimportant by family members and many of them do not attend. In the Russian culture the wedding reception is a two day extravaganza that is considered to be more important than the ceremony itself.

The first day of a Russian wedding ceremony is filled with a series of events that includes the civil ceremony, a tour of the city and the start of the reception. The wedding day begins with the bride and groom in separate locations each accompanied by their own friends and family members. The groom will arrive at the bride’s location well before the two of them need to arrive at the civil service. This is necessary because the bride’s friends and family members make it difficult for the groom to reach his bride. For example, if the bride lives on a high floor of an apartment complex, the groom will be detained by friends or family members at each floor and asked trivia type questions about his bride. If he answers incorrectly, he must pay cash to advance to the next step. Once he arrives at his bride’s side, the two of them travel by train, in separate cars, to the location of the civil service. Only their closest friends and family members accompany the bride and groom to this ceremony as it is not considered very important. It is viewed as merely a way to have the union recognized by the government.

Immediately after the civil ceremony the couple takes a tour of the city to visit memorials of those who have died. This tour is usually two to three hours long and during this time the couple honors those who were killed in wars by laying flowers at their memorials. The couple is usually only accompanied by the two witnesses to their wedding on this journey. Sometimes a few other close friends will come with the couple but family seldom partakes in this tour because they are busy making preparations for the reception.

The best time to learn about Russian wedding traditions is before you’re in the thick of things. Wise readers will keep reading to earn some valuable Russian wedding traditions experience while it’s still free.

After the tour of the city the couple arrives at the reception and this is where the true celebration begins. The reception always starts with a toast and usually the parents are the first to toast the bride and groom. The rest of the guests then offer their toast. Following the toast is the most prominent Russian wedding tradition. The guests drink wine after each toast and after they sip the guests will begin to shout, “Gor’ko” which means bitter. The couple then has to kiss in order to sweeten the wine. The guests will continue this tradition after each toast requiring the couple to kiss after each toast.

The rest of the first night is filled with dancing and another Russian tradition of playfully “kidnapping” the bride. The groom’s friends will take advantage of the chaos that ensues as all the guests start to dance and “kidnap” the bride. They will then demand the groom pay a ransom for her return. The bride’s friends also get in on the good natured fun by “stealing” the bride’s shoes. Again the groom has to pay a ransom before her shoes are returned. This first day of the reception continues on late into the night leaving the guests exhausted.

The second day of a traditional Russian wedding is usually held at the house where the couple will begin there lives together. This is a more relaxed day and although anyone from the first day is invited to attend, usually only the closest friends and family members attend this second day of festivities. Day two of a traditional Russian wedding usually begins in the late afternoon or evening. The guests all enjoy a meal together and after the meal comes another Russian tradition of having the bride clean the floor. The guests will litter the floor with currency and the bride has to “clean” the floor by picking up the money. The guests can continue to litter the floor with additional currency while the bride is “cleaning” and are particularly fond of coming to the festivities with a large amount of coins to make the bride’s job as difficult as possible. This tradition gives the guests the opportunity to make a contribution to the new couple.

Traditional Russian weddings are essentially two fun days of food, drink and friends. The ceremony itself is not viewed as the highlight of the wedding. The government will only recognize a marriage that is verified through a civil service and the church will not perform a church wedding unless a civil service has already been performed so couples often participate in both types of ceremonies separately. It is instead the reception that is the focal point.

Take time to consider the points presented above. What you learn may help you overcome your hesitation to take action.

I have stayed in different European alpine skiing resorts such as Luz Ardiden, Les Deux Alpes, Les Trois Vallees and Les Contamines-Montjoie, however all told through all my ski holidays Chamonix is certainly my best area to go for ski holidays.

The place of origin of European alpine history and abode to the brilliant Mont Blanc – at 4807m the EU’s loftiest summit – Chamonix Mont Blanc France touts a good historical snow register, a protracted winter season (Dec-May), matchless steep skiing, and vistas to die for. So Chamonix France has an global renown since it has a lot of the most striking, stimulating, and exciting lift accessed skiing on hand anyplace in the world.

Chamonix village is enormous and intimidating, and that is before one figure in the adjoining skiing fields; for example Risoul, Espace Killy, La Chavanette, La Mongie and Le Grand-Bornand.

The Mont Blanc ski lift pass covers 7 near, and 10 departmental snowboarding fields; with pistes up to 3845 metres, upwards of 220 cable cars, and 800 kilometres of ski pistes – and the bulk of the skiing towns above 2040 metres. It supplies for each plane from initiates right through to professional skiers. Visit the snowboarding towns section for an in depth look at all of the popular areas: Auron, Le Tour, Megeve, Montgenevre, Les Arcs and Tignes.

The ONE Question Winners ALWAYS Ask….

November 16th, 2008, 2:58 am

Over the past several years I have experienced my fair share of success. However, it has not been without its fair share of obstacles and setbacks. I was reflecting upon this recently as I confronted a recent disappointment. Hundreds of emotions raced through my mind as the reality set in that my deepest plans and desires were not going to reach my goals.

To say that I was frustrated would truly be an understatement. A few days earlier I could taste victory and knew that my visions would soon be manifested. As the reality set in that my goal was not to be, I experienced all of the feelings that accompany disappointment and confusion.

So close. Yet so far.

Over the years I have learned that there is one powerful question that we can ask ourselves when life does not go as planned. Unfortunately, most people would rather complain than apply this simple process. It was so tempting to make excuses and feel sorry for myself. Or to justify the experience and try and convince myself that this was not really that important.

Eventually I came to my senses and this question worked its magic as it always does.

Any guesses on what you think the question is?

While losers wallow in defeat and communicate self defeating behaviors, winners ask themselves….”what is it that I can learn from that experience?” That question turns my focus around in a heartbeat and before I know it I can see numerous solutions that will assist me in my endeavor.

Before I knew it I was focused on receiving a first class education as opposed to feeling sorry for myself.

“What is it that you can learn from that experience?”

I suggest that you carry a pen and notebook along with you after you ask yourself this question. You will be amazed at how empowering this simple exercise is.

The only failure in life is not learning anything from your experience. Success is inevitable for those who confront setbacks and disappointments with this simplicity.

Be careful what you agree with!

The September/October issue of Time Compression Technologies magazine includes a feature article, “Lean Manufacturing: How Big is the Market? Lean Enterprise: How Much Bigger is the Market?” authored by North America’s leading manufacturing journalist, Thomas R. Cutler (www.trcutlerinc.com).

Cutler provided a detailed history of the lean manufacturing marketing including how e-kanban solutions are central to an effective lean manufacturing initiative. According to Matthew Marotta, founder of Datacraft Solutions, “We do not charge for upgrades to the system as we learn about new best practices that clients ask us to incorporate. Before Datacraft incorporates the request, it is reviewed buy a lean advisory board to validate the value of the best practices and the value added impact upon our partner community. Once it is passed, they develop, test, and implement.”

The hosted solution provides the customer with their own set of servers which are maintained offsite by and outsourced set of administrators. All of the administration fees, equipment, support teams and software updates are all included in the monthly service fee which is less then the cost of hiring an internal system administrator.

The value of an ASP is that manufacturers can buy “by the drink”, low risk, and a see a rapid ROI. Only internet access is required.

The non-ASP option leaves manufacturers investing a large sum into the communication network, IT personnel, IT training, application servers, consulting for system modification, along with all the hidden costs that come with it. The only disadvantage of using an ASP is the client never owns the system (application), only their own data. This concern tends to be the issue of IT since they want to control all phases of the e-kanban operation. The cost of the control is wasteful and completely antithetical to a Lean Initiative.

While some ERP systems QAD, Factory Logic, and Supply Works have some e-kanban functionality is not their core focus, so manufacturers are purchasing the ERP system at a significant price tag including all the prices increases (and upgrade charges). From the perspective of Lean functionality and immediate ROI the cost cannot be justified, unless there is a plan for a manufacturer to replace the ERP system.

Do you have books sitting in your garage that you haven’t
sold yet and looking for ways to move them? Then you will
want to know about these five outrageous ideas that aren’t
difficult and can be just plain out fun.

Dede Hall, author of The Starving Student’s Cookbook had
very poor sales for her books. Then one day an outrageously
light bulb moment appeared. She added an inexpensive
skillet with the book and shrink-wrapped them. Then she
took 150 of them to two stores that she thought wouldn’t
sell them. Yes, to her surprise, all 150 sold in two days.
Dede stumbled on an outrageous idea and it worked out big
time. She sold over 100,000 copies in a few months. Where
did she sell them? Thought you would never ask. Price
Clubs and K-marts.

Do you have a book that could be packaged with something
else and create outrageous sales for yourself? It’s
Christmas time and no it isn’t too late. But before you
dart off to come up with an outrageous idea for your book,
continue reading so that you can get all the facts.

Another cookbook was repackaged with a scarlet ribbon and
some imported cinnamon sticks and then sold at department
stores in the housewares and gift sections. The book
couldn’t sell at $5.95 but flew off the shelves at $10 and
went into second printing in 30 days.

Would your book sell well in a three-ring shrink-wrapped
binder? Why not create and audio or CD version of the
material. Just read directly from the material. You do not
have to be fancy. Add “read by the author” language to the
outside in big letters. Or maybe “F-R__E-E Bonus, Limited
Time Offer, Free Audio read by the author” in big letters.

Another key is to look for an item that makes the package
larger than the book. This requires a larger space and then
bigger visibility.

What about a book on money? Add a mug labeled,
“Millionaire” and watch it fly off the shelf. Do not forget
the second part of the formula — the place you are going to
sell it. When you add the mug, it is now considered a gift
item. This opens the doors to more stores and places.

Try all the independent gift shops, especially at the
airport. They are always looking for these type of unique
combinations.

Have an exercise book? Add a “walking meter” with it. The
one that measures how many miles you are walking. Have no
clue what they call those things but I have bought three
over the past few years. Again, now it is a gift item. How
about contacting a sports equipment vendor and selling them
copies of your book that would be a freebie for a limited
period with a purchase.

Get the store to add a sign, “limited quality” and watch
them go even faster. What is great about this angle is that
gift stores, department stores and similar stores are much
more open to add things to their shelf. They will work with
you much better than a bookstore.

Now that you brain is going a mile a minute with ideas, best
wishes for selling many more books!

Being a writer, when I was asked to do some research into what makes a good website, of course I straightaway went to check out all of my favorite authors. After sifting through a few standard sites I remembered to look at one of my all time respected writers-Paulo Coelho. Judging by how many books he has sold he is obviously a lot of people’s favorite, and his website is exactly what you’d want to keep the fans happy.

If any of you are familiar with Coelho’s work you will know how prolific he has become all over the world. People love the simplicity of his stories about the spiritual quests of all people and the idea that the magical happens in everybody’s lives, even the so-called ‘ordinary, normal’ person. He to me comes across as a perfect example of the power of human connection, his books having affected millions across all national boundaries. As an Internet writer, to me he symbolizes the possibilities lying in the future of the Web. Like a good book, the Internet too can cross all imagined ideas of separation bringing people from all walks of life together in the context of positive thought and action.

Coelho’s website’s homepage starts off with a simple black screen, and a large photo of the man smiling-a very humanistic approach to this new medium. It then has many different sections as well as links to relevant sites, even his own web log (on-line journal) entitled, ” Warrior of the Light Online”. I think I could spend innumerable hours reading over his personal thoughts and pieces of information he has integrated from elsewhere. Having this added website of an on-line diary gives the site even more humanistic qualities, as any person can truly connect with Coelho’s innermost feelings and thoughts.

The sections on the main site are separated into categories like: Biography, Paulo Coelho Institute, Photo Gallery, Road to Santiago, Agenda, Books, Editions, Free downloads, Meditation, TV on-line (videos), Warrior of Light, To journalists, FAQ, Message for the author, and Recommend this site. We are talking about a very extensive and well thought out site. Any type of individual or business, especially writers, could learn a lot from this example.

Just to touch on a few aspects of the site’s categories I’ll focus on the one’s I had a good look at. The biography was excellent, an extremely in-depth look at Coelho’s life from childhood until present day. No holes barred, he’s not ashamed to tell of all his low points as well as the usual list of one’s achievements. It is very honest, he tells of how his parents institutionalized him several times thinking he was crazy, as well as stories of being tortured as a political prisoner and of his ‘dark’ experiences with drugs and black magic. This humanistic perspective gives the site a much more personal feel as well as eliciting reactions in readers, much more powerful than a bland website that solely focuses on a writer’s books and how to purchase them.

The photo gallery is another dimension I have not witnessed on many other sites. He again gives vision to his whole life with photos included from areas entitled, Childhood, Transition, The crazy years, 2000/2001, 2002, and Today. You see, this website isn’t just a shop front or a facade for a business. It gives the individual an opportunity to share his identity with the whole world, a courageous act only taken by people who aren’t afraid to put themselves on the line, sharing their spirits with all of humanity. This is the key to why the website is so powerful, one needs to take risks to achieve success in life.

I could write extensively on the other categories of the site but I think you could just go and check them out yourself. Me telling you what is a good website isn’t going to teach you much, you’ve got to experience things for yourself to truly gain the knowledge you are looking for. Maybe you’ll be so inspired, one day it’ll be your website I’m writing about!

Are Popins Better Than Banners Or Popunders?

November 9th, 2008, 8:27 pm

In the past, website directories, online classifieds, safe lists and banner ads were all terrific ways to obtain website traffic. But the Internet is a dynamic medium that is constantly changing. And some methods just haven’t been able to keep up.

On top of that, cost-per-click advertising is costing today’s entrepreneurs as much as several dollars per visitor!

Search engine optimisation is a long-term strategy, costing thousands of dollars (unless you do it yourself) but results are not guaranteed…

Pop Under advertising campaigns are cheap but you have to know how to properly set-up a pop under campaign.

In my opinion, PopIn (layer) ads are a terrific (and cheap) way to attract the attention of thousands of visitors:

PopIn ads receive a click trough rate of 1% – 2.0% (some popin layer ads receive a CTR of up to 5%)

Banner ads receive a click trough rate of 0.2% – 0.6% (some banner ads receive a CTR of up to 2%)

That means that if your PopIn ad receives a CTR of 2%, a 100.000 PopIn impressions campaign (avg. cost: $200,00) will bring 2.000 (targeted) visitors to your web site with a cost per targeted visitor of $0.10 only.

Targeted visitors are people that have clicked on your ad to visit your site. These are visitors that already have some idea of what your site offers and have come to look for more information.

Do a search on Google or Yahoo for PopIn Advertising to find companies offering this type of advertising.

Tips for a successful ad: Use a catchy headline, a dark background and offer something of value for free to motivate the viewers to click trough to your website.
