Hailing from New Jersey, Nicholas Bredimus looked at airlines, software, and hospitality together and energized these trades. His resume covers effort-saving software, aircraft safety enhancements, and he’s even involved in designing luxury homes.

Glancing at Nicholas Bredimus’ roots it’s easy to discern he was bound to achieve the top. Coming together from a true melting pot, his line traces to Antiquity, with his mother’s branch primarily Scottish and German. A similarly varied blend dominates his father’s branch — ahead of emigrating near the end of the nineteenth century, Bredimus’ forerunners made their homes in Luxembourg and England. Even after emigration to the United States of America, they kept their work ethic and resolve to go far. Nicholas, as well as his two brothers and four sisters, was a child of a father who worked as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who worked as a practicing nurse. His homes over the course of many years were spread across a number of states. Nicholas has stepped up to the challenge of prominent posts at firms throughout the air travel industry — many of them acclaimed brands. These included the position of Vice President for Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines, and Hughes Airwest. An inspired software programmer, Nicholas’ creative work with airline software is probably his most epoch making gift to the industry. Nicholas is certainly most famous for the aircraft maintenance management computer program he crafted for US Airways, which would become an industry standard. And yet this was just one of his key developments for airlines. His hotel booking software is on its way to joining the aforementioned program as a standard, and the hotel reservation application he designed enabled many hotels to shift to the very first PC based technology. Carrying his expertise on to a related field, he developed a networked system to assist in selling tickets — once more presenting the industry with an application nobody else had achieved.

Mr Bredimus has even been appointed to quite a number of positions entirely unconnected to software design, let’s remember. Key roles with American Airlines and American Express followed, and of course he established his own business seventeen years ago.

Having stepped back from the posts in which he first knew success, his skills are, nevertheless, still in demand. Look for his work now advancing architecture — matching the needs of luxury with true concern for the ecology.
