Dress shoes are an American term making reference to shoes that are worn at smart casual or formal events. They’re worn by both males and females. Though they can be worn daily as a common pair of boots, many will just reserve them for parties, dinner events and dances.
Men’s dress shoes are customarily either black or brown. These 2 colors can be worn with most other color combinations and still appear smart. Other colors are available but most are found in the former colors. Men’s dress shoes are made of leather which includes every part of the shoe i.e. Outers, soles and inners though rubber soles are also found to extend longevity. Men’s shoes are categorised by the style of the straps.
Women dress shoes, as opposed, to men’s are available in a selection of colours and styles. They’ve a rounded or pointed toe and are made entirely of leather, also. But other more popular fabrics are suede and wool. The heel height is frequently around two inches and the straps can alter according to the different styles. Pumps, loafers, mules, sandals and high heel shoes can all be considered dress shoes.
