Thinning Hair and Anxiety – Pragmatic Solutions

Androgenic alopecia (or male pattern baldness) is common with young men. Even though it’s normal, it’s no less traumatic for the person concerned. Hair loss is normally an early sign the person is ageing, and can happen as early as just 16 or 17 years old, giving rise to social anxiety and even depression. While the public at large see baldness as perfectly normal, it’s not a joke when it’s you who is experiencing baldness.
Male pattern baldness (Androgenic alopecia) bears upon men in various ways. Some guys don’t experience any form of baldness until their late 50s or 60s. Others suffer the very common male pattern : a gradual receding around the temples. Other male balding patterns include the crown area initially, or a quick thinning out of all hair.
If every man lost his hair at the same rate in the same pattern, it might be said that we wouldn’t see it as so harrowing. Nevertheless, it’s the diversity of balding patterns and speed in which they occur (from man to man) which causes many individuals to feel rather insecure and simply unlucky if they experience particularly rapid forms of balding.
Look online and you might think there’s a myriad of simplistic remedies to losing your hair. Just eat X pills and/or apply Y spray topically, and you will get a full head of hair. For sure, there are lotions that thicken the hair, and medicines that can slow the process of balding moderately, but there’s no official cure to baldness – no magic pill that men can use to absolutely guarantee regrowth of hair, or even the prevent baldness.
However, there are hair pieces men can put on to cover their baldness. These wigs can be developed in accordance to their natural colour of hair and type of baldness. Even close-up it’s frequently difficult to understand that there is indeed a toupee blended in. If wearing a hairpiece makes you feel confident when you would have otherwise been anxious, then it’s a good idea to get one.
